Darryl Williams

 

Darryl Williams, currently a resident of Temecula, California, is a multi-talented bassist/composer who has toured and performed with many of the top Smooth Jazz and R&B artists of today. Notable names include Jeff Golub, Euge Groove, Peter White, Michael Lington, Paul Brown, Chaka Khan, Mindi Abair, Jeff Lorber, Jonathan Fritzen, U-Nam, Four80East, Tevin Campbell, Gloria Gaynor, Ronnie Foster, Bill Champlin, Brian Simpson and many more.

In 2008, Williams released a solo album entitled, “That Was Then”, which received high praises from several top smooth jazz writers and djs. Noted jazz writer Brian Soergel says, “Is there room for another smooth jazz bassist to join the ranks of Wayman Tisdale, Brian Bromberg, Michael Manson and Gerald Veasley? In the case of Darryl Williams, the answer is an enthusiastic yes!"
